End-to-end encrypted
Every message and file is encrypted before it leaves your device. Nobody in between, not even the server operator, can read a conversation.

Mesh is a private, end-to-end encrypted, decentralized chat app for communities and friends. It runs on open, Matrix-compatible infrastructure, without ever asking you to understand what that means.
[ What Mesh is building ]
Every message and file is encrypted before it leaves your device. Nobody in between, not even the server operator, can read a conversation.
Sign in with Matrix.org's public service, a community-hosted homeserver, or your own. Your account is never trapped behind one company's servers.
A community and the people in it can live on entirely different services and still talk, the way email already works across providers.
An optional, peer-assisted storage layer helps keep history available across devices. It is explicit, bounded, observable, and reversible, never a silent drain on disk or battery.
[ How it works ]
Get the app for your desktop or your phone.
Tap a community's invitation link. No account needed yet.
Choose Matrix.org's public service, a community-hosted service, or your own. A real choice, never forced.
You're in. Matrix, homeservers, and federation stay invisible the whole time.
Mesh is open source and built in the open. Star the repo, watch releases, or see what is shipping next.
